STAMPlorations Inspiration #112

Hey!  Another Tuesday has rolled around and you know what that means.  It's time for another inspiration post over at STAMPlorations!!  I can't believe 2016 is almost over!!  It's gone by so fast! So, we've got some great cards to share today.  This is what I made today....

I decided to pull out an older stamp set to play with. I stamped my feathers (Trendy Feathers set) using Broken China and Seedless Preserves Distress ink that I spritzed water on before stamping.  I stamped the sentiment (Trendy Feathers set) in black.  I added a narrow strip of silver glitter tape to one edge.

I hope that you'll go check out the rest of the DT's work and don't forget to comment for a chance to win a prize!

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely Tuesday!

Inkspirational Challenge - Photo Inspiration

Good Morning!  It's a sunny day here today that will turn into a snowy one this evening.  We've had some weird weather here this winter.  First we get snow that then turns into rain as the temperature rises.  It may sound good but the problem is there's no where for the rain to go as the ground is frozen.  So, it pools and becomes ice as it freezes.  Our backyard is an ice rink.  This has happened about three times so far in the past two weeks.  Very strange weather indeed.

Anyway, it's time for a new challenge over at Inkspirational!  It's a fun photo inspiration that is very appropriate for New Year's Eve.  Take a look...

Fun right?  I loved the gold and black and the stars so that was my inspiration.  Here's my card...

I stamped my horns in black and coloured part of them gold and black.  I stamped my confetti and stars in gold Delicata ink and black ink.  I stamped the sentiment in black as well.  All the stamps used here are by STAMPlorations (Balloons and Banners set).  I think its a super fun card.

Well, I hope you'll pop on by the Ink blog and check out the rest of the teams awesome cards.

I would also like to say thank you for visiting my blog and leaving lovely comments this past year.  I truly appreciate all my followers!  I wish you all much happiness in the coming New Year!

Have a wonderful New Years!

STAMPlorations Inspiration #111

Good morning everyone!  I hope this Tuesday finds you all well. 😀  How was your Christmas?  Mine was just lovely.  My son's excitement and happiness was very contagious!  ðŸ˜Š

Anyway, it's that time again for a new inspiration post over at STAMPlorations!  I'm starting to take a break from Christmas cards.  I'll start making them again in the new year but I think I need a little break.  So, today I've got a birthday card. Take a look......

I took my sentiment/balloon stamp (Power of Words set) and stamped it in black Memento ink.  Then I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color it in.  Next I took some long neglected washi tape and added a few strips.  The colours I coloured my stamp match the colours of the tape. (I did that on purpose!).   Easy peasy card!

Well, I hope that you'll go check out the rest of the DT's work and don't forget to comment for a chance to win a prize!

Have an awesome day and thanks for popping by!

Final Christmas Card For The Year

Hey everyone!  Just popping in to share my final Christmas card of 2016.  I'll take a break from making Christmas cards but I'll be back at it in the new year. 😀  I made this card for my niece to go with her gift.  Check it out...

First, I sponged on lightly, Picked Raspberry and Broken China Distress ink, blending the two together.  I splattered water drops over top then, once that was dry, I stenciled the snow (falling snow stencil by SSS) by sponging on white acrylic paint.  Then I stamped my berry branches (Casual Comfort set by CAS-ual Fridays) in black Versamark ink. I added a die cut snow hill (STAMPlorations) and stamped the sentiment (Michaels) in black.  The finishing touch was to stencil a bird (perhaps a dove) flying. The bird stencil came from a stencil that had several birds on it by iStencil.  I think it turned out rather lovely.  ðŸ˜Š

Well, thanks for visiting with me today. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!

Inkspirational Challenge - Colour Scheme

Happy Saturday everyone!  There's a new challenge starting today over at Inkspirational!  It's a colour challenge this time. :-)

Only neutrals?  No problem!  I went with beige and grey, although, I have to admit I did add a touch of gold. Take a look....

I stamped a variety of Christmas stamps (Snowflake: Hero Arts, Holly and Pinecone Border, Large Holly: Michaels, Small Snowflake, Small Holly and Berries: STAMPlorations) and embossed them all in white.  I sponged over top Soft Suede ink (SU!) and Grey Flannel ink (Memento).  I left an area free of ink where I stamped the sentiment (STAMPlorations) in Grey Flannel.  I covered up the sentiment area and spritzed lightly some Perfect Pearls Heirloom Gold mist spray.

I hope you pop on over to the main blog and see what the rest of the team has made.  Thanks for visiting and have a fantastic weekend!

STAMPlorations Inspiration #110

Greetings everyone! Another Tuesday has rolled around and so its time for another inspiration post over at STAMPlorations!!  Christmas is getting closer and closer and I'm so NOT ready!  It's been crazy here with craft fairs and renovations and starting a new job.  I work for one of those paint night party companies (East Coast Art Party) and teach people how to paint a picture while they drink, eat and be merry!  It's a lot of fun but it's been hard juggling everything. Thank goodness that the craft fairs are over and the living room is very close to being complete.  I need a break!  ðŸ˜Š Anyway, back to the card inspiration!  Take a look....

I stamped my buttercups (Buttercups and Butterflies set) several times and then coloured them in with my Spectrum Noir markers.  I stamped the sentiment (from same set) in black.  A very simple and easy card to create but I think it turned out lovely.

I hope that you'll go check out the rest of the DT's work and don't forget to comment for a chance to win a prize!

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely Tuesday!

I played around with some alcohol ink on glossy paper to create my background. Once it was fully dry I stamped my poinsettia (Holiday Sketches: Christmas Flower set) and embossed it in white. I die cut my sentiment (Warm Winter Wishes Phrase Die) and adhered it to my panel. Lastly, I attached my panel to a white card base.

CUTplorations December Challenge

Hey there!  Over at STAMPlorations we've got a new CUTplorations challenge starting for November.  It's time to pull your dies out again and wow us!  We have an inspiration photo to inspire you and all you have to do is make something using a die cut and link up.  It's not necessary to use STAMPlorations dies but we love it when you do!  Just be sure to use at least one STAMPlorations product on your card.  So, if you don't have any of our dies use one of our stamps. 😊 Check out this months inspiration photo....

Isn't it an adorable image?  I love the colour scheme.   That and the winter theme were my inspiration.  Here's my card....

I started off by attaching some teal glitter tape I'd trimmed and some red striped washi tape. Then I stamped my mittens (Warm Hands, Warm Hearts set) in Memento Teal Zeal ink.  I added some more of the same glitter and washi tape.  I die cut my sentiment (Warm Winter Wishes Phrase Die) and coloured the 'warm' and 'wishes' with my Spectrum Noir markers. I really love this colour combo.

I hope you'll all join us for this months challenge.  As always there is a prize to be won if you link up! All the prize details can be found at the main blog.

Inkspirational Challenge - Designer's Choice

Hey everyone! This weekend we are taking a little day trip to the US to do a little shopping.  I've got a busy week ahead of me as I've got one last Christmas craft fair to do and I'm also trying to finish painting my living room and install the flooring. Whew!  I'm tired already!  ðŸ˜€

Anyway, it's time for another challenge over at Inkspirational!  This time our awesome teammate, Sandie, had the honor of picking what the challenge would be.  She chose "CAS with Sparkle".

Yay! That's right up my alley! 😀  Here's my card....

I stamped my wreath (Penny Black) mixing two green Memento inks, Cottage Ivy and Bamboo Leaves.  I coloured in some of the berries with a red metallic pen. I die cut the first part of the sentiment (STAMPlorations) from gold metallic paper. After attaching it to my card I stamped the rest of the sentiment (Hero Arts) in black.

I hope you enjoyed your visit today. Please, make sure to go and check out what the rest of the team made as well as our wonderful Guest Designer.  There are some wonderful cards to look at!

Inkspirational Challenge - Prompt Word - Chill

Happy Saturday everyone!  It's time again for another Inkspirational challenge.  This time it's a word prompt.  And that word is, Chill.

There are a few ways you could interpret this word and I decided to go with a rather obvious one. I thought of the weather and how it's getting colder and colder. Winter is coming and its "chilly".  ⛄️  So, why not a lovely little winter scene?  Take a look....

First, I created a circle mask for my sun.  Then I created a mask for my snow hills by tearing some cardstock. I sponged from dark to light blue for my mounds of snow then lightly sponged blue, pink, orange and yellow for the sky. I then stamped my birds and branches (Penny Black) in black. I splattered white paint over top everything.  Once, the paint was dry, I removed the mask for the sun and then stamped the sentiment (Hero Arts) in black.  I think it's a wonderful little scene. Love that Penny Black stamp!

I hope you'll take a trip on over to the Ink blog and check out the other fantastic cards by the rest of the team and our fabulous Guest Designer. They knocked it out of the park, once again.  :-)

Have a lovely weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Hey everyone!  There is a fun blog hop going on over at STAMPlorations today!  It's our 2nd Annual Giving Thanks Blog Hop!  A lot of us STAMPloration girls have made some thanks/thankful cards.  We also have a whole bunch of amazing Guest Designers joining us this year!  This year there's all kinds of prizes to win and all kinds of ways to get your chance at winning them.
All the prize info is at the end of the post and over at the main blog.

We are also introducing three awesome new stamp sets, matching dies and stencils.
Check them out....

Amazing aren't they?!  I used the Be Thankful set for my card.  Take a look...

First, I stamped my basket of apples in black and then coloured them in with my Spectrum Noir markers. I shaded the ground with my markers too.  I then die cut the word Thankful from olive green cardstock. The faux stitching details didn't show very well on the dark paper so I went over them with a white gel pen. I attached it to my card and then stamped the For You in black Versafine ink.  I think it turned out quite well.  I really love how my apples turned out.  ðŸ˜€

I totally recommend checking out all the other fabulous cards the other designers made. Here's a handy link to get you there.  ðŸ˜Š

CUTplorations Mini Release Hop

Hello!  We've got a fun little hop going on over at STAMPlorations right now.  We've got some new CUTplorations dies to showcase and so we're doing a little mini release hop.  Take a look at these fantastic new dies...

Awesome, right?!  I just love the edge dies.  The atc/tag dies are great and so versatile with all the fancy edges you can use.  Today I've made a card and a couple of tags. Check them out...

(Using Art Edges Die)

For my cards, I used the film strip edge die. I die cut a narrow strip of white card stock on both sides and then stamped my reindeer (Reindeer Games set) where I wanted them. I then masked off rectangular areas and sponged on black ink to create my film strip.  I removed the masks and then coloured in my reindeer with my Spectrum Noir markers. I stamped the sentiment (Holiday Sketches: Christmas Bells set) in the middle section and stamped a small snowflake (Vignette: Christmas Block set) in silver. I took a piece of patterned paper and attached it to my card base and then attached my film strip.  Lastly, I added a couple of pieces of red glitter tape.

For my first tag, I used one of the fancy edge pieces to die cut the top and bottom of my tag. I also used one of the hole dies. I stamped my mittens (Warm Hands Warm Hearts set) and then created masks to cover them. Then I stamped my heart (Funny Kinda Love set) and removed the masks. I coloured everything in with my Spectrum Noir markers. I stamped the sentiment in black then added some very narrow strips of silver glitter tape. Lastly I added some ribbon.

For this tag, I used two different edge pieces to die cut my tag also using one of the hole dies. I stamped my poinsettia (Christmas Bell Medley set) and embossed in white. I sponged on Hero Art Pool ink over top fading it as I went up.  Then I stamped my pine bough (Christmas Bell Medley set) using the Pool ink. I stamped the sentiment (Christmas Bell Medley set) in Dove Gray StazOn ink and added some ribbon.

So, I hope you'll pop on by the main blog and see what everyone has made with these fabulous dies. Plus, by commenting there and the DT blogs you have a chance to win a prize!

Here's all the details:
  • Commenting closes on Tuesday, November 15
  • Prizes: ONE (1) winner of a $15 gift certificate and ONE (1) winner of her choice of either Art Edges or ATC Tag Builder dies
  • Winners will be randomly drawn from comments left on the STAMPlorations blog and designers' blogs

STAMPlorations Inspiration #105

Hey everyone!  Welcome to another edition of inspiration over at STAMPlorations!  We've got a wonderful line up of projects to share today.  My card is once again, a Christmas card. At this point it's pretty hard not to make one!  Take a look....

So, for this card I started out by sponging Delicata Silver ink using the Christmas Reindeer stencil on a white panel.  Then using my stencil as a mask, I stamped my snowflakes (Framed Christmas: Believe in the Magic and Peace Love Joy sets) over top with Hero Arts Pool ink.  I removed the stencil and attached my panel to a die cut (Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting dies) piece of patterned paper.  I attached this to my Aqua card base. I die cut my sentiment (Warm Winter Wishes Phrase die) from white card stock and sponge HA Pool ink over top which I then attached to my card.  Hard to believe I made a layered card and used patterned paper!  Shocking!  LOL.

I encourage you all to pop on over to the main blog and check out what the rest of the DT made. You won't be sorry!  Plus, if you leave a comment there you are entered in to win a prize!
